About Unio

     UNIO Goldsmith & Gallery was founded in Havelock North in 2005. The aim of the company is that with our specialist design and manufacturing skills, we will create handmade, innovative designer jeweller, bespoke and unique products and offer personalised service second to none.

 

Designer and Goldsmith Bruce Jackson has over 35 year's international experience. Traineing as a diamond mounter in London under master craftsmen David Bolam and Roy Corengia, whose workshop produced jewellery for such eminent clients as The Sultan of Brunei, and members of the Saudi and Kuwaiti Royal families, after fifteen years in the UK he moved to Australia, working for multi award winning jeweller, 'Linneys' in Western Australia where he was a finalist in the 1996 Jewellers Association of Australia (JAA) Awards, recieving one of only two High Commendations given by the judges that year.

 

     Bruce was also a finalist in the 1997 & 1998 Pure Creation South Sea Pearl Jewellery Design Awards, during that time he also completed a Diploma of Arts (Jewellery Design) course at the Fremantle T.A.F.E. College

 

     Upon returning to New Zealand Bruce moved to Hawkes Bay became Trade qualified and set up UNIO. As a Gallery UNIO represents some of the finest jewellery talent in the region and with a workshop on site, Bruce can offer you a fully bespoke design service, from the initial design concept and stone selection, to the fully finished product and whether he is supplying the gold and stones or transforming your heirloom or unworn jewellery into modern works of art, he will work closely with you to design and make a completely unique piece of jewellery tailored to your individual style and budget. UNIO also offers a jewellery and watch repair service and insurance valuations.
