Hawke's Bay Wine Country

Hawke's Bay is the oldest established wine growing region in New Zealand. Our wine is exceptional - notably Merlot and Syrah dominant wines and classic red blends - especially from the acclaimed terroir at Gimblett Gravels. There is also outstanding Chardonnay and white varietal wines.

 

There are more than three dozen reasons to tread the Hawke's Bay Wine Trail, and they all offer a warm welcome at their cellar door for wine tasting.

 

Soak up the atmosphere in one of the many alfresco restaurants, overlooking vineyards, olive groves and orchards. After lunch, try your hand at petanque or take a leisurely stroll amongst the vines.
